  • Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is a hi-tech computerized European technology which is the most advanced system available in the world for dual fuel modifications.

  • ECU computes and manages a sophisticated injection system which optimizes the fuel supply to maximise efficiency and reduce emissions.

  • Monitors engine performance via various sensors and adjusts fuel mixture in real-time to optimize engine performance and reduce emissions.

  • For safety, monitors the data from sensors and reverts engine to diesel-only option temporarily if any parameters goes outside limits

Solenoid

Solenoid valve - compact, reliable and easy to maintain. Thanks to the simple design, it ensures the long and failure-free operation of the gas system.

Change Over Switch

Digital petrol/gas (P/G) switch. The main element for the driver's communication with the gas controller, used to switch engine fuel types.

ECU

ECU is an alternative fuel system for Diesel engines which feature 2 to 16 cylinders. The whole fuel gas system is based on technical solutions for supplying fuel with air, which are mixed in the cylinders with Diesel fuel. ECU supports switching to the Diesel fuel supply, since the solution does not modify the engine internals.

Gas Injector

The gas injector is intended for LPG and CNG gas systems and all engine types, including turbocharged engines. The gas injector provides superior performance and a fully unified compatibility with other  products.

Gas Filters

LPG and CNG vapor phase filter. It separates solid and liquid particles contaminating gas in the vapor phase i.e. vaporized LPG or expanded CNG.

Do we need a PNG connection for converting diesel genset to dual fuel?

Yes, you need a PNG connection for converting your diesel genset to dual fuel technology. 

What are the Natural Gas (PNG) pressure requirements for the Dual Fuel Kit?

The needed gas supply pressure ranges between 1 and 4 bars. If gas is available at a different pressure, please let us know and we will offer you with a suitable solution. We can also supply solution for LPG gas.

Which gensets are compatible with the CNG Power Dual Fuel Kit?

The CNG Power Dual Fuel Kit is suitable for high-speed diesel engines (1500 RPM). Our electronic controlled fuel injection technology has been successfully installed in more than 70 kits from major diesel generator companies. Cummins, Volvo Penta, Kirloskar, Perkins, Mitsubishi, Caterpillar, MTU, and Baudouin are among those offering power outputs ranging from 62.5 KVA to 3000 KVA.

Is certification required once I have installed a Dual Fuel Kit?

Dual Fuel Kits are exempt from certification requirements. According to the Ministry of Environment and Forest, NGT, CAQM, and SPCB rules, dual fuel technology is fully proved and safe. In addition, CNG Power will supply you with a Commissioning Report for the Dual Fuel Kit, which you may submit to your state pollution control board as confirmation of DG emission compliance.

How much downtime is required for dual fuel kit installation?

The installation will take approximately 6-8 hours per DG. Our system is meant to be a standalone external solution, requiring only one change to the Diesel Generator’s air inlet. This allows for installation with little equipment downtime.

Where should the Dual Fuel Kit be fitted on a DG, and will it require major or small modifications?

The installation of CNG Power’s Dual Fuel Kit requires minimum modification. It essentially entails installing our Air Mixer before the turbocharger, which is then connected to the gas engine and the fuel control valve. Our dual fuel diesel-to-gas conversion technology is intended as a retrofit option. It is a plug-and-play model, which means there is no need to change the engine’s original design or any important engine specifications.
