Mono Fuel Conversion – From Diesel to Natural gas (PNG/ CNG or LPG) conversion

Conversion of diesel generator to 100% natural gas is a process of replacing the diesel fuel in a generator with natural gas as the primary fuel. This is be done by using a Fuel Replacement System the diesel engine is converted to operate, as dedicated gas engine that can only run on natural gas.

A diesel engine can be converted to run on natural gas using a conversion kit or by making mechanical changes to the engine. The conversion process involves, installing new components like a new ignition system, carburettor, and other components are installed in the engine. Some existing components may need to be adjusted to accommodate the new fuel type. The engine is disassembled (Overhauling), components are checked and replaced, and the pistons are modified for gas use. The mechanical changes will depend on the make and model of the engine. The power level of the converted engine will also depend on several factors, including the quality of the natural gas, the original diesel engine's power level, and the required emission levels.

Converting a Diesel engine to natural gas can be economical and is a way to reduce the pollution by using natural gas instead of Diesel.
